From Freelance Beginnings to a Global

Online Crib started with a simple side hustle that became a thriving digital agency. Our founder, John Vincent Aquino, began his journey in 2010 as a freelance Virtual Assistant on Freelancer.com while working abroad as a secretary in Saudi Arabia.
In February 2011, John was hired by Adam Steele, founder of Nightlite Media — a Canada-based marketing agency — to handle Local Citation Building projects. His dedication and results quickly made him one of the most trusted specialists in the field.
Later that year, John became a Top Rated freelancer on Upwork and decided to return home to the Philippines. With the growing number of clients and incoming projects, he began training friends, including Mark Rene Arciaga, to help meet the demand.
Realizing it was time to build something bigger, John teamed up with Mark and his former coworker Gerry Bautista, who returned from Saudi Arabia in 2012. Together, they founded Online Crib.
Starting with fewer than ten people — all friends and colleagues — the team worked from John’s house, focusing on Local Citation services like audits, builds, and cleanups. In 2013, the team moved to its first office in Banlic, Cabuyao, Laguna, marking the start of Online Crib’s growth from a small home-based operation to a full-fledged agency with over 50 team members.
Over the years, Online Crib has expanded beyond citations, offering Local SEO, Web Development, Link Building, and more. The team remains committed to helping businesses strengthen their online presence and achieve lasting results through continuous learning and adaptation to algorithm updates and digital trends.
